Amazon: What I Ordered vs. What I Got.

Amazon has always been a favorite of mine, but having a toddler has taken my love affair to a whole new level. When it comes to deciding whether to try things on while my two-year-old escapes under the dressing room door or have things delivered to my house in two days and try them on in my own room, the answer is clear.

Like most things in life, you win some, you lose some. Let's take a look. PS: These are affiliate links, which means if you click them I will make approximately four cents.

WINNERS:

Lemon two-piece skirt set. O B S E S S E D. I've worn this so many times already and am already thinking about how I can wear it year-round (with booties and a jean jacket, thank you very much). It's so comfy, so stretchy, and so flattering. It's easily worn as a crop OR with no stomach showing...love me some versatility. And lemon is such a happy print! I got a small. It's super stretchy, so if you're unsure about what size to order, I'd size down!

Rainbow striped dress. I love this dress. This dress is my life now. Thank you, that is all, goodbye. In all seriousness, I'm such a fan of this dress. It reminds of something Free People would make...so beachy and airy and so comfortable. I love the bright stripes, and it's super versitle...it's a perfect beach or pool coverup, would look adorable with booties and a jacket, and is so dang cute with sneakers. I got a medium. It's baggy, but I wanted a smidge more length in the front, so I sized up.

Cat-eye heart sunglasses. Not much to say about these beauties other than if you've seen me out and about in the last month, I was probably wearing them. They're so much fun and make me feel way cooler than I actually am.

LOSERS:

Sometimes, the losers are so bad that pictures are not even a possibility. This is one of those times.

Striped two-piece set. I ordered a small, but the top was giant. GIANT. It was adorable, but it was so big that there was no making it work. Back it went.

Two-piece cactus set. I ordered a small and could not even get the shorts past my knees, so there's that.

Amazon Favorites Lately

Does anybody else remember when we used Amazon primarily to buy books? Textbooks, mostly? What did we even do? Where did we even buy our things?

I'm just going to level with you. I love shopping. I love malls and Marshall's and Ross and Ulta and all of it. However, Jack has entered a very non-shopping-friendly stage if it's just him and I. So being able to get the things I want online is pretty magical. What a time to be alive, you know?

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I honestly think this is the best thing you can buy on Amazon. I've raved about it before, so I won't go into it now, but it's cheap, it works, and it lasts forever. I'll always have a jar of this.

This bikini. At under $15 for a top and a bottom, I'm a fan. It's cute, true to size, and I'll be wearing it all year. Also, side note: For some reason the link now says "thong bikini" in the description?? I assure you, it is not.

This foam roller. It's five dollars and makes ending a workout way more enjoyable because it ensures I can actually move my body the next day.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Worth every single bit of the hype. Dab a little bit of this on any upcoming breakouts before you go to sleep, wake up to them almost gone. It's magical.

Natural Calm Magnesium Supplement. A glass of this before bed and I sleep so much better.

What's your favorite thing you've bought on Amazon lately?

Amazon Prime: What I Ordered VS. What Actually Came.

I LOVE Amazon Prime. Free shipping, free returns, it's a win-win kinda situation. But I also know that ordering off of Amazon, especially clothes, can be a gamble. You never know what you're gonna get, or what size it's gonna be, or if it will look anything like the pictures.
So I thought this would be a fun series to try! What I ordered...and what actually came. The winners get to live in my closet, the losers go back to Amazon.

Winner: Mesh Yoga Pants.

Technical name: FeelinGirl Women's Breathable Active Yoga Running Pants Workout Spanx Tights Leggings. ||  Current Price: $13.50 (I paid $7.50) ||  Size Ordered: Medium

I love these! They fit great, I've worked out in them, ran in them, and washed them, and they've held up great. They were a steal for $7.50, but I would still buy them at $13.50

Winner: Champagne Now, Crunches Later Betsey Johnson Workout Tank.

Technical name:  Betsey Johnson Women's Champagne Now High Low Muscle Tee || Current price: $36.05 (I paid $10) || Size ordered: Large

As you can probably guess, this is now my favorite workout shirt, and I wear it for fun way more than I exercise in it. I hate that it jumped up in price so much. I must have caught it on sale. If you buy it, definitely size up. I like a looser fit so I ordered a large, and I it runs small.

Loser: Backless T-Shirt Dress

Technical name: Eliacher Women's Casual Sexy Backless Tshirt Dress 6589 || Current price: Unlisted (I paid $9.99) || Size ordered: Large

From the front, this one isn't so bad, but it's definitely not the flowy, hi-lo dress pictured on Amazon. The back, though...the back is bad. It's black, so I couldn't get an accurate picture, but there's a knot in the back that causes the fabric right above your backside to stick a good two inches out, making you look something like this:

So, nope. Back to Amazon it went.

Winner(ish): T-Shirt dress

Technical name: Eliacher Women's Casual Summer Chiffon Dress Blouses Long Top Shirts (what a ring to it, right?) || Current price: $9.99 (That's what I paid) || Size ordered: XL

This is probably my favorite thing, but I say winner-ish because it isn't at all like I thought it would be. First of all, it was supposed to have sheer pannels on the sleeves and shoulders...homegirl is sheer alllll the way through. Luckily I have a slip dress the same color scheme that works under it.

Losers too bad to picture:

This (seemingly) cute crop top. I had visions of wearing it with high-waisted skirts, but no. It was flimsy and slightly brown (??) and I was not even putting it on my body to take a picture.

Have you ordered anything worth mentioning off of Amazon lately?
