3 Things You Need to Know About.

Macadamia nut milk. || If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen me crying about mention that I went cold turkey off of my copious amounts of coffee creamer I drink every day. I love me some coffee creamer, but I drink a ton of coffee, so I was consuming waaaaay too much sugar first thing in the morning.

I got this (at Wal-Mart, of all places), and it has made my life so much better. It's like almond milk, but creamier and sweeter (still no sugar!) and pretty much just magical? You need to know about it.
Pirate Play Center. || It's only May, but this is already the best $35 I will spend all summer long. Jack loves it. It's adorable. It's a pool, a slide, and a sprinkler. We've been playing in it every afternoon and I'll never forget his sweet little laughs from how happy this makes him.

Walmart grocery delivery. || Okay, I was very skeptical about this. But guys, I GROCERY SHOPPED WITHOUT HAVING THE GET OUT OF MY CAR. You make your list and pay online, then check in when you leave your house. There's a designated spot for you to park in, and someone comes and loads your car for you.  I've never loved grocery shopping at Walmart, but this surprised me in the best way. I'll be doing this a lot more from now on. If you want to try it, click that link and you get $10 off your order!

3 Things You Need to Know About || March 2018

ONE || Never Fade. I first discovered Katelyn Tarver when her song Weekend Millionares came on an Apple Music radio station and I've been obsessed with her ever since. I'd been counting down the days until her new single released last Friday and it was well worth it. I know most people will probably associate this song with some sort of romantic partner, but the reason it makes me so emotional is that I think it paints a picture of true, pure, non-romantic love. The friend that refuses to leave when times get tough.

TWO || This bralette. Guys, I have seen this all over the internet, all over Instagram, and all over real life. Every time I go to order one, my size is sold out. Every time I'm at Belk or Dillard's or Macy's, I check, and have never had any luck until this weekend. It 100% lives up to the hype. I can't wait to wear it all summer under everything I own. It's so comfortable and so cute that you don't mind if it shows.

THREE || Siesta Key! By the time you read this, I'll be on my way to Siesta Key to celebrate my sweet friend's birthday! It's a trip that's been in the works since this summer, and I'm so excited it's finally here! Side note, if you've got any Siesta Key recommendations, holla atcha girl.

3 Things You Need to Know About.

1) These sweatshirts.

My parents got my these for Christmas and I'm not kidding when I say I've been wearing every single one of them each week. They're so cute and so freaking soft. The first two, especially, feel just like wildfox sweatshirts (ya know, without costing a billion dollars). I loved graphic tees this summer, and since Florida's been throwing some winter at me (BOOOOO), I love these.
2) Speaking of sweatshirts: Amazon restocked my mermaid sweatshirt!

I have worn the heck out of mine. It's so slouchy and comfy and fun. And you need one.

3) This cup.

If you are like most people and "drink more water" is on your neverending resolution list, get a cup like this. It's 35 ounces, you just have to fill it up a few times for the whole day, and you can carry it around wherever you go. I use mine every single day. Pro tip: get these silicone straws. Hydrate yo'self!

3 Things You Need to Know About.

O N E || Philosophy Pore Extractor Mask. Guys. I have found the face mask to end all face masks. It is nothing short of straight-up wizardry.

I kept seeing ads for it, saying blackhead-free skin in TWO uses, so I was obviously intrigued. But Ulta was sold out, and they closed down my Sephora (BOOOO), and you can only buy the full-size online. I was hesitant to spend the full-sized money on something I hadn't tried yet. Then, I got my Sephora Play box, and it was one of the samples!

It does exactly what it says. I'm telling you, it sucks the gunk out of your face. It's amazing. While it is on the more expensive side (hi, I usually pay $5 for face masks), you're only supposed to use it twice a week, and a little goes a long way. 100% worth it. I've already ordered the full size.

T W O || Lowes has mini (real!) Christmas trees for $19! I was worried about our tree this year, because last year Jack wasn't even walking yet. Now, he runs around the house, bringing terror to anything not bolted to the wall (just kidding) (but only kind of). We have some sentimental ornaments that I don't want to risk breaking, so we got one of these little trees and put the glass ornaments on it, safe out of Jack's reach. I'm sure he'll pull our big tree down at some point, but at least nothing will shatter when he does.

T H R E E || Frosted Sugar Cookie Creamer from Aldi. It is delicious and tastes like Christmas is having a dance party in my mouth. Look, I know flavored creamer is garbage. I do. But I'm very healthy in most other aspects, so just let me have this one. CHRISTMAS DANCE PARTY, OKAY?!

3 Things You Need to Know About.

Dirty John Podcast. This LA Times true-crime podcast is fascinating. If you're like me and you miss S-Town, give this one a listen.

Printic. It's an app to print your photos, but I love it because you can print out polaroid style prints with captions, which is so nostalgic feeling. It's only 49 cents a print, and I think it's the easiest and cutest gift. Just pick the pictures straight from your phone, type your notes in, and ship them straight to your friends. Such a fun mail surprise, right?
Bonus: If you use my code 299F8E you get $7 off. Which is a lot of prints. Have fun!

This lipstick. It's called unicorn fur. I'm wearing it in this picture:

It's also worth noting that I put this on, went for tacos and margaritas, went to a concert, and at the end of the night, it still looked like this. That's a win.

3 Things You Need to Know About: Beauty Edition.

1) Nip + Fab No Needles Serum. Oh my gosh, this is incredible. A little backstory: My skin has basically been going downhill since May. I breakout anytime I get stressed. I started working out to help with the stress, but then the sweat broke my face out. And I randomly got these really pronounced lines that made me look chronically dehydrated and older than I am. I knew I wanted to try a serum, but after an hour of looking at Ulta, I was very overwhelmed by all of the options and also by the range of prices.

I landed on this one because I recognized it from a few blogs, and it was expensive enough that I thought it might work but didn't make me cry thinking about paying for it. (SIDE NOTE: The link I put here is HALF THE PRICE I paid for it at Ulta so I'm a little mad about that, but now I know!) Guys, it legit starts working right away. I started it on Saturday, after a night of pizza and wine and awful sleep, and noticed that I looked more glowy and not as tired as I should have. By Monday, the lines I'm talking about were NOTICABLY less visible. 10/10 worth it.

2) NYX Lip Oil. I will forever sing the praises of NYX lip colors. They launched a new product that I finally got around to trying, and I love it. I loveeeeee wearing matte lip colors, but I do hate how they tend to get cracky/crumbly after reapplying. This oil is matte, but goes on like oil (duh) and it's amazing. It does fade faster than others, but you can just put more on without it feeling like you're piling on top of old lipstick, you know? I linked the color I bought, but tell me if you try another color!

3) Egg White Pore Mask. I've seen this in the Korean beauty section of Ulta, but it kind of scared me. A friend bought it and let me try it and I am converted. It made me feel like it was working on my blemishes AND moisturizing my skin at the same time, which is not an easy feat. When I rinsed it off, I felt like I could go without makeup for days because my skin looked so good.

3 Things You Need to Know About.

1. This album. It was released on the day I took a road trip last week and I listened to it approximately 8 times on the drive, and have been listening to it ever since. It's fantastic.

2. This creamer. I have FINALLY found a creamer (that I don't have to make myself, because, lazy) that actually tastes like creamer. I find that with a lot of "healthier" creamer options, they're really thin, or they seperate, or don't mix in well so things are just floating in your coffee (ew). But this one is creamy and mixes right in and I don't even think about how good that sugary creamer would be when I'm drinking it. So, that's a win.

3. Tomorrow is Prime Day. Now, this is how I remember Prime Day going in previous years:

But it's supposedly going to be better this year. Just in case, if you're not a Prime member, go ahead and sign up for a 30 day free trial so you can get any good deals.
Obviously, I have a list of (very unnecessary) things you should totally buy if they happen to be on prime sale.

My favorite flamingo straws, obviously.

These oversized moon & star sunglasses that make you look like a super mysterious gypsy. I have these and they are giant and amazing.

This good vibes only hat. I also have this and have worn it approximately every other day this summer.

My favorite sunglasses that I get SO many compliments on but only paid $12 for.

This beach bag that I'm probably definitely about to buy for myself because HELLO SEQUINED FLAMINGO.

This dress. Don't even need to tell you why.

Ditto to this pillow.

Okay, so we've learned my flamingo obsession is still alive and well. Glad we covered that.

Happy Monday! May it be way better than you're expecting.

3 Things You Need to Know About.

This bathing suit top. I wore it in most pictures from my vacation and got more questions about it than anything I've ever posted. And for good reason-it's the best top I've ever owned.

It used to (and still kind of does) bother me when people lable things as "mom" things. Like, "mom-friendly bathing suits for the summer." What is that? I mean, I wear crop tops and overalls and bikinis and mermaid shirts, so clearly I don't pay attention to this. But I will say...there's something to be said for a bikini you look adorable in and can also bend down to chase your toddler in without being worried it's gonna snap right off. This one is perfect.

Stress relief bubble bath. This stuff is magic. It smells amazing and I can actually feel it relaxes me as I smell it. It's the perfect way to end a long day.

Sarah Dessen has a new book! If you've been around me any amount of time, you know that YA lit is my favorite and that Sarah Dessen is my favorite author ever. I love her. I cannot wait to read her newest book.

Happy weekend! Tell me what I need to know about!

3 Things You Need to Know About.

This mermaid shirt. Because even mermaids get cold sometimes. Bonus: This shirt is TWELVE DOLLARS. You're welcome. Notes: It's listed as a sweatshirt, but it's thin. Like a thicker t-shirt. I ordered a large because I wanted it to be super extra slouchy, and it is. So I would say it runs true to size. Also, I'm wearing this lipstick in shade "respect the pink."

Everything but the Bagel Seasoning. Want something you cook to taste like you spent a lot of time seasoning it without actually doing it? This is for you. It's delicious. It really tastes like an everything bagel.

This After Sun Lotion. This is my favorite lotion, ever. It smells like vacation and it leaves your skin feeling way better than the sticky mess that comes with using aloe gel. Also, it definitely makes your tan last longer. But what's probably the best part is that it's $7 and will last all summer. I love when cheap things are actually the best.

3 Things You Need to Know About.

S-Town. If you're like me and finishing Serial left a void in your life (and season 2 of Serial just didn't cut it), then you need to know about this new (to me) podcast. "John despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks a reporter to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But then someone else ends up dead, sparking a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man’s life." I can't wait to dig into this one!

$10 & Under with free shipping section. Amazon has a whole section now devoted to things that ship for free and cost $10 or less. Some things are super weird, but there are a bunch of things I probably definitely need. Like this dream/believe/achieve shirt, and this pineapple shirt, because...summer. It kind of feels like shopping the Amazon sale rack.

Mermaid waves tutorial. Two things: 1) If you add the word "mermaid" to pretty much anything, I am instantly 30x more likely to try it. 2) I had no idea you could use a curling iron like this! I'm going to try it soon. I'll report back!

3 Things You Need to Know About.

Happy Friday! I spent the majority of yesterday thinking it was Friday, so I'm extra happy to see today. I plan on spending the majority of the weekend by the pool, or at the beach (or maybe both!), and also vacation planning. I asked for suggestions on instagram and got some good ones, so I've been researching beaches and condos and it's making me so excited. Who else loves the planning part of vacation?!

Now, on to three things you need to know about:

NBC has a This is Us playlist that they update every week. One of the ways this show reminds me of Parenthood (besides all of the ways) is the music. Their music choices are just so good. To be fair, if you actually watch This is Us, these songs will probably make you cry, but hey-they're really good songs.

This face mask. And also this one. I've been using these both for about a week now and can actually tell a difference in my skin, which is great.

Yoga for Anxiety. If you've had one of those weeks, take 15 minutes this weekend and go through this video. Sometimes you don't realize how tense you are until you take a break and stretch it out, and sometimes you don't realize how much you need to just sit and breathe until you do it.

However you're spending this weekend, I hope it's a good one!

3 Things You Need to Know About.

This post contains affiliate links: full disclosure here.
1. This stress relief tea. Oh. My. Goodness. I love this tea. This tea deserves a valentine. This tea deserves all the valentines. You know how when you have a glass of wine, you feel relaxed, but you also start to feel foggy, groggy, and sleepy? I realize those three words are basically the same but I felt they all needed to be present here. This tea lets you sip on something relaxing without making you foggy (or groggy or sleepy). It's magical. Just the smell of it makes me feel like I'm defusing some sort of anti-stress aroma. It's so good, it's so cheap, and you need it.

2. This kettlebell workout. Two weeks ago I decided I wanted to up my game a little bit with my weight workouts. And by up my game, I mean graduate from the 3-pound weights that I've had since I was in high school. So I went to Marshall's and picked out a kettlebell. I probably should have taken it as a bad sign that I struggled to get it from the bottom of the cart to the checkout counter, but I have too much pride to turn back, so I bought it.

I came home and googled kettlebell workouts and got approximately ten thousand videos spending thirty-two minutes teaching me the proper way to lift a kettlebell (no thank you), forty-seven thousand videos that were actually just ten second clips enticing me to drive to the store and buy a workout video that probably isn't even made anymore (also no), and approximately six million videos of tiny Victoria Secret model look-alikes who were secretly the Hulk and gave advice like "Now just go for a breezy seven mile jog with your kettlebell and follow that up with 84 jumping jacks with two kettlebells" (biggest no of all).

But then I found this one, and it's perfect. Jillian low-key terrifies me in the best of ways, and anyone with abs like that surely knows what they are doing.

Pros: It's a full-body workout and cardio. Cons: I think my legs are probably going to fall off soon. You win some, you lose some.

3. Sweet potato chips+ guac. This is my favorite snack right now. First, the brand of those chips is "The Garden of Eatin'" and I will never not find that funny. But also they are delicious and go SO WELL with guacamole. Best of all: They taste amazing with this guac, so you can just swing by Target on your way to the pool and pick up the perfect snack, no messy kitchen required.

Now you tell me: What do I need to know about?

3 Things You Need to Know About.

Heads up: Some of these links are affiliate links, meaning if you click on them, I may make a small commission at no cost to you. You can read my full disclosure here.

cheap heart sunglasses

1. These mirrored heart sunglasses. Sometimes I think I have become a grown up. I shop at Banana Republic, I stick to a budget, I take a multivitamin, I wake up early to work out and check emails. Adult stuff. And then sometimes I wear mirrored heart sunglasses and realize, nope. I'm all about things that make you happy, and wanna know what makes me happy? Wearing these babies by the pool. Bonus: They're $12. So when you drop them/scratch them/your kid yanks them off your face and breaks them (just me?), you won't feel sick over it. Literal heart eyes.

2. These black & rose gold Nikes. These were a Christmas gift from Chris and they're my favorite tennis shoe, if not just favorite shoe in general, that I've ever owned. They go with everything (hello, black) but the Nike check (is that what it's called?) is the prettiest rose gold and makes them way better than a plain black shoe. I'm probably not the only one who, on more than one occasion, would have really loved to wear tennis shoes for comfort's sake, but I didn't want to ruin a cute outfit with colorful running shoes that just didn't fit. Enter these. I have no idea how I didn't have black Nikes before this, because I really wear them almost every day.

As far as they hold up for running, I have no answer for you. Check back in 2018. Maybe I'll have gone for a run by then (but also probably not).

3. Sweet potatoes and buffalo sauce. This sounded disgusting to me. But last week I made shredded buffalo chicken (cook chicken breasts+buffalo sauce in the crockpot, then shred and eat all week long), and I put it over a sweet potato. It. Was. Amazing. Anything that is that easy and tastes that good and I can call healthy is a win for me.

Here's hoping you find those three little bits of information as exciting as I did. Now you tell me: What do I need to know about?
