Fifty-Two Weeks With Jack: Allll of The Pictures.

Somehow, we have arrived at the end of my #weekswithjack picture project. Fifty-two weeks later and my first little love is now a GROWN ADULT (No, YOU'RE being dramatic).

Week forty-five:
you love being outside in the sunshine // I don't know why I think this is so funny, but it makes me laugh whenever I see it // VERY unsure about the whole teeth brushing thing // the happiest babe there ever was.

Week forty-six:
your first thanksgiving! // caught you trying to sneak a peek at your Christmas present // aaaand had to start child-proofing the next day // you loved decorating for Christmas

Week forty-seven:
I love our park dates // you're happy anywhere with a swing // your first time at Universal for Christmas was a success // your first time meeting the Grinch, however, was not such a hit haha

Week forty-eight:
we learned the hard way about wrapping presents early...you unwrapped them and ate the paper // and when you moved on from that, you took all the baby wipes out and tried to eat those, too // we took you to look at Christmas lights and your face lit up with such awe that it made me cry // you're so happy to wake up every single morning

if we give you a warm blanket, you'll put yourself right to sleep // just a little Santa in the sink // love our little fam // you did NOT love Santa.

Week Fifty:
we started a new tradition of going to the park before we kick off Christmas // and stopping at chick-fil-a on the way to visit family // you got to see what it was like to experience Christmas as the only grandchild // and then we had the most perfect Christmas, just the three of us, and you got your new favorite ride.

Week fifty-one:
we don't get cold weather often, but you love it when we do // this is your new favorite blanket, and when you're tired you just take your bottle and crawl right over to it and go to sleep // practicing your four-wheeling skills // you have enough teeth (and are hungry enough) that we have to buy an extra order of chicken nuggets for you..you're pretty happy about it

Week fifty-two:
baby date! // just a little stud lounging by the pool // you do SO great in the nursery...this is how I found you when I went to pick you up on Sunday // we take walks almost every day, and you're so content to just sit by the pool and drink your bottle.

I don't know who has changed more in these fifty-two weeks...Jack or me. But I know they've been the best, they've been a privilege, and I will cherish them for the rest of my life.

Bring on toddlerhood...I'm (nowhere near) ready for you!

Forty-Four Weeks with Jack: All of the Pictures.

Week Forty-One:

we went to visit the park in my hometown for the first time // we got you some shoes so you could use your little zebra outside // it's been chilly enough to wear your fuzzy pajamas out and about // we dressed you up like a pumpkin // and of course, took you the the pumpkin patch.

Week Forty-Two:

your first time flying! four flights in 24 hours, you are a champ // you didn't know the airport wasn't your own personal playground // you've nailed the "no pictures, please" look.

I'm loving our cool morning walks // your first time trick-or-treating! // Chris and Gatsby are your best friends...wherever they are, that's where you want to be // holding your bottle with your hands is overrated.

Week Forty-Three:

We took you tailgating with your little stuffed gator // doing our civic duty and voting! // you recognize yourself in the mirror now and it's adorable. // your fancy church outfit on the day you went to the nursery for the first time!

the morning after the election...I was so tired, you were not // I will never get tired of all these sweet smiles.

Week Forty-Four:

just two buds, trying to figure out how to escape to the backyard // your hair is getting so long and crazy and I love it so much // you're so happy after a nap // sometimes you just bounce yourself right to sleep

The nights where you still fall asleep on me are my favorite // so cute in your big guy pjs // just reading some Aesop's fables // you love love love to be outside.

Who knew forty-four weeks could feel so long and so short?

40 Weeks With Jack: Forty In, Forty Out.

Jack has now been on the outside as long as he was on the inside. This is so crazy to me, and honestly freaks me out a little. Because yes, time flies, but I also feel like Jack has already been around forever! So now when I look back on I think, no wonder it felt like I was pregnant forever...BECAUSE I WAS.

Moving on.

Week Thirty-Seven:

we were just hanging out and watching tv, and boom-you decided you could pull yourself up on your knees // you also starting loving riding on chris' shoulders // you puked everywhere, so we left church life this //just sitting around like a grown up // you're the happiest baby with your toys //just some casual baby yoga.

my little snuggle buddy // as soon as you could pull yourself up in your crib, you would get SO grumpy if someone didn't come get you immediately. That face. It kills me. // family pool days are my favorite things in this world // the happiest guy in your swing! // you sit up in the grocery cart now, and it makes shopping so much easier! // you outgrew all your clothes, so I obviously bought you a new fall wardrobe that is a billion times cuter than any clothes I will ever own.

Week Thirty-Eight:

We went to the beach and had the best day ever.

the ocean one day // the pumpkin patch the next // and buying hurricane supplies the next day. Florida is weird. // all clean and snuggly after your bath

you get the best bedhead // introducing you to pumpkins // so happy // and one day, you just decided you could stand up.

Week Thirty-Nine:

matching, down to the brand of the jeans // my sweet little babe, so snuggly when you're sleepy // now that you're on the move, you love to pull all the books off the shelf.

Week Forty:

we've been getting some chilly weather, so you get to swing all bundled up // my little bff // Gatsby thinks he's a human, and you think you're a dog // so happy to be all sunscreened up and going to the pool

I cherish these nighttime cuddles more than I can say // taking your fitness very seriously // can't stop, won't stop buying you clothes with animal ears on them // and so it begins...you pull yourself up on anything you can find and stand up.

There you have it...the fastest and slowest and best 40 weeks of my life.

Thirty-Six Weeks With Jack: Allllll of The Pictures.

Sometimes a week can go by and not seem spectacular in any way. I love looking back at these weeks with Jack through pictures because it really does show me that there's something special about every week, even if it doesn't seem like it.

We took Jack to a small group with us last night, and someone asked if he was just in a good mood or if he was always so happy. And the answer is honestly that he's just a happy baby..we hit the jackpot with him, that's for sure.

Week Thirty-Three:

these open mouth smiles kill me // the bouncer is still your favorite // you've been playing on your own more and more // snuggling with Clifford

Making it through our first "hurricane" // the prettiest eyes! // so happy // chewing on your fingers is your new hobby

Week Thirty-Four:

You can fall asleep pretty much anywhere we go and it's the absolute best // your first time ever in a swing // you loved it // the cutest little fox bib

So surprised about something // just sitting with Clifford // oh those cheeks! // you eat real food now!

My little deer  // you're the happiest in your swing // my three guys // just snuggling a scarecrow at hobby lobby

Week Thirty-Five:

puppy pjs // cutest little pool boy // sweet snuggles // you talk with your hands more and more

our little baby gator // so happy on our morning walks // my little bestie // sometimes you just crack yourself up laughing

bottle break // you love going on walks // just a little baby yoga // getting a workout in

Week Thirty-Six:

all the heart eyes, ever for these guys // my favorite smile // you're so social! // you're getting bigger and bigger, but when you're sleepy, you snuggle just like you did when you were a newborn

You were asleep in your pjs and we had to run to the store, and you woke up when we got there. You weren't upset, but you were SUPER suspicious and it was hilarious // holding onto that swing for dear life // so happy to wake up //oh hello there

These are the best weeks of my life. Love you, little dude.

Thirty-Two Weeks With Jack: Allllllll of The Pictures.

I really love blogging for so many reasons, and one of those is that it gives me an excuse to remember the little moments in life. On Thursday, Jack turned 32 weeks old. Thanks to this blog, I'll have a sweet little collection of little moments from weeks 29-32...which is great, since I've yet to get around to making a baby book or printing pictures or scrapbooking.

Also, this means he's 20 weeks away from being an entire year old. Too early to start party planning? Don't answer that.

Week twenty-nine:
sleepy eyes, sleepy smile // we found a new mexican restaurant and chris gave you a lemon. you made terrible faces, but kept licking it // the cutest krispy kreme mascot there ever was // all decked out in your pool gear

sleepy bear // you learned to stick your tongue out and make funny noises // your face when you think you're getting frozen yogurt vs your face when you realize you're not getting any frozen yogurt (I crack myself up)

Week Thirty:
the happiest babe // you love playing with toys now // so peaceful when you sleep // my happy little bub

your first doctor's appointment in Gainesville // I have so many blurry pictures of you now because you are on the move! // just hanging out in your bathrobe // smiling and bouncing, your favorite things.

Week Thirty-One:

my favorite selfie-taking partner // future prez // baby toes // you and gatsby just hanging out.

movie-watching buddies // snuggles // you have a little toy tractor and it's your favorite toy // so proud of all your toys

Week Thirty-Two:
always so smiley // passed out in church // silly faces // you're forever my favorite.
Happy thirty-two weeks, baby jack! I love you thirty-two times more than I did when you were born. xoxo

Twenty-Eight Weeks With Jack: Allllll of the Pictures.

There are a lot of reasons why I love blogging, but one of those is that I have an excuse to document parts of my life that I might not otherwise. I love that I'll have all these little daily moments to look back on.

Week twenty-five:
all smiles // having way too much fun with snapchat // starting to recognize yourself in the camera // trading toys with the fox

you just want to grab everything in sight now // sleepy snuggles // that little tongue // you love your car seat toy

the sweetest swaddled babe // you take after me and love cozying up in as many blankets as possible // your little personality is shining through more and more every day

Week twenty-six:

sometimes you just pass out in the middle of playing // the happiest // such a little ham for the camera // always staring in awe at Gatsby

one of my favorite pictures of you // getting so big, but you're still just so tiny // teething has hit full force and you're wanting more and more snuggles // just looking like a full grown toddler in your overalls

so happy // so suspicious! // always laughing, always yanking my hair out // working on your poses for the camera

just a grumpy old man in his boat // so happy to be outside // adventuring around in your new carrier // contemplating life with grandpa

my three favorite guys // teething snuggles // always so suspicious about what's going on around you // you are truly the happiest baby I've ever seen

Week twenty-seven:

ready for a pool day // so smiley // so snuggly // I swear, you know exactly where that camera is

things are getting messy around here, and I know it's only the beginning // I turned my back for one second, and this happened // you had no regrets // snuggling your puppy

weekends at the pool // you can sit up on your own now!

Week twenty-eight:

so silly, so happy // you've started army crawling! // four AM sleeps in my bed // my happy guy

your facial expressions still crack me up. I imagine you thinking, "yes? can I help you?" // happy camper indeed // passed out on the couch // I bought you some toys since you sit up and play on your own now, and you are loving them

the sweetest face // you get so happy when chris comes home from work // sleepyhead // jack in the box!

morning selfies // just snuggling a fox in a bowtie // my two little foxes napping // you love your stuffed animals

Best twenty-eight weeks of my life, hands down. Life is messy and full of snuggles and naps and teething and toys and it is absolutely perfect.
